It would be very hard to list all the attributes of Verna, being kin to her, having known her all my life, I can definitely state she was a very special person We loved visiting with each other, discussing the past, who all we had known. She and O D were very friendly to all they met, and were so pleasant to visit with. I can certainly vouch where she is now, visiting with Jesus in Heaven, and not trying to remember about all of us left behind. Loved you Verna very much, Happy for you now. Zora Beth lindley

Our memories of Verna come from her daughter, Jane and all the memories she shared with us over our twenty plus years of friendship. You can't walk six feet throughout Jane's house without seeing a photo of Verna, or something Verna created. From the foyer through the bedrooms Verna is there, the photo of Verna with her high school basketball team, Verna's beautiful painting of the single magnolia laying upon red velvet, Verna's lovely hand worked needlepoint seat cover, Verna's church photo, Verna's young family sitting on the couch, O D and Verna in the backyard just to name a few. The sound of Verna's sweet voice talking with Jane on the phone always telling her to take care of herself. Our beautiful memories of Verna came through Jane's memories and in Jane's very own description of her mother, "She is the sweetest, kindest, most giving, compassionate, caring, nurturing human, about whom I have never heard a bad word, a lover of all people, forgiving everyone for their shortcomings and always incredibly humble. 44 years with the love of her life, 33 years without him." To Jane's words we can only add, don't forget Verna's 70 plus years with her greatest creations, Jane, Sara and Bill. What a beautiful life Verna lived surrounded and honored by her large, loving and wonderfully devoted family. There is a new star shining in the night sky now and she shines the brightest. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences extend throughout Verna's family and friends. Jackie and David Dill Linder
