Verta Mae Guidry

Verta Mae Guidry, 85, of Orange, Texas was called home 16 February 2017 from Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Indian Bayou, Louisiana, 20 September 1931, Verta Mae was the youngest daughter of Aaron and Anna Dailey. Verta Mae was the devoted wife to the late Mr. Roy J. Guidry and a loving mother to Mr. Ray Allen Guidry of Beaumont, Texas and Linda Marie LaBove of Vinton, LA. Mrs. Guidry leaves behind a brother (J.C Dailey of New Iberia, LA), her son, three Grandchildren and twelve Great-Grandchildren.

Mrs. Guidry was a fiercely loving and loyal daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be forever missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; her Brothers- Edward Dailey of Crowley, LA; Lionel Dailey of Lake Charles, LA; L.J Dailey of Crowley, LA; Jerry Dailey of Crowley, LA; and her Sister- Shirley Dailey Williams of Lake Charles, LA.

Visitation will be Saturday, 18 February, 2017 beginning at 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with Rev. Brett Dailey, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Kent Hickingbottom, Cason Hickingbottom, Earl Wilkerson, Elmo LaBove, Trey LaBove and Taylor Thompson.
