Viola Marie Thibodeaux

Viola Marie Thibodeaux, 79, of Mauriceville, Texas peacefully joined the Lord, Tuesday, June 22, 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. Serving as celebrant will be Father Paul Sumler, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

A gathering of the family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Orange, Texas on November 6, 1930, she was the daughter of Oliver Blanchette and Edna Z. Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelton A. Thibodeaux, Sr.; parents; and son, Mark Thibodeaux.

Mrs. Thibodeaux is survived by her four children, Charlotte Duncan and husband, Bob of Mauriceville, Shelton Thibodeaux, Jr. and wife Jennie of Horseshoe Bay, Belinda Thibodeaux of Bridge City, and Tammie Roy and husband Gary of Houston.

She is also survived by her ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and brother, Ted Blanchette of Sulphur, Louisiana.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Thibodeaux, Mitchell Duncan, Keith Huckabay, Garrett Roy, Jordan Roy and Taylor Roy.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the love and devotion provided by Judy Smith caregiver her staff and family. Also the family extends their gratitude to Southeast Texas Hospice.
