Virginia Nell Vick

November 30, 1930 — February 19, 2013

Virginia Vick, 82, was born November 28, 1930 to William Lee and Annie Jane Sheffield Suggs in Tatum, TX and passed away February 19, 2013 in Beaumont. She was a long-time resident of Beaumont and retired as an operator with Helena Laboratories. Virginia was lovingly known as "MawMaw". She loved studying the Bible, she loved the Lord Jesus Christ, her family, tending to her plants and flowers, taking care of her birds, cooking for her family, a warm fire in the fireplace, Bentley the cat, and coffee – even if it was already cold as she was walking out the door asking for "just one more 'swig'."
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, February 22 at North End Baptist Church, Beaumont, officiated by Doctor Paul Vick, Reverend David Goolsby and Pastor Ken Griffin. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vick is survived by her children; Wanda Brooks and husband Philip of Beaumont, Paul Vick and wife, Deborah of Austin, Kim Timberlake and husband, John of Spring, Gerald Vick and wife, Jo of Beaumont, Ray Vick and wife, Sachi of Center, Jack Vick and wife, Melva of Beaumont, and Frank Vick and wife, Debra of Silsbee; brother, Richard Suggs and wife, Bonnie of Houston and sister, Violet Harris of Houston; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Vick and her parents.
The family wishes to extend a "Thank You" to Emma Young, Barbara Harrison, Lorri Robertson and the staff at Harbor Hospice for the loving care and compassion they showed our mom.
