Born in Russellville, Kentucky, on June 1, 1933, she was the daughter of Curtis Ray Henderson and Erma Virginia McMillin Henderson. Vivian lived a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, and a deep commitment to her family and community. She was a cherished member of First Baptist Church in Orange for over 70 years, where she actively participated in her Sunday School class, affectionately known as "The Joy Department." Vivian devoted her professional life to serving others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), working alongside respected physicians Dr. Williams and Dr. Rutledge. Her compassion and tireless work made a profound impact on the lives of many. In her personal life, Vivian had a passion for gardening, finding joy in nurturing plants and watching hummingbirds visit her blooms. She took great pleasure in traveling. She loved cooking, especially hosting memorable Christmas Eve gatherings for her family. Her love for family was paramount, and she delighted in spending time with her relatives, creating lasting memories that will be treasured. Vivian's friendships were equally important to her; she appreciated visiting her longtime friends and maintaining those precious bonds throughout her life. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of SETX Hospice and Dr. Marty Rutledge for their compassionate care during Vivian’s final days. As we remember Vivian, we celebrate a life rich in kindness, service, and devotion to family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Curtis Ray Henderson; her mother, Erma Virginia McMillin Henderson; her loving husband of 62 years, A.R. “Dick” McMillan; her brother, Elvis “Sonny” Henderson; her sister, Erma Jean Carnahan; and her other siblings, Herbert Henderson, Robert Henderson, and Linda Wilkinson.

Mrs. McMillan left a great legacy. She and Mr. MAC raised 6 beautiful children, and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a big influence on my childhood, because I spent many days over at there house playing every game we could imagine. I have wonderful memories of our early years on Flint street, and would not change my amazing memories of that time. She taught me many life lessons, that helped shape me for life ahead. May she Rest in Peace, and enjoy being reunited with her Lord, and her loved ones.
