Walter Elvin Snelgrove, Sr. 81, of Orange, died on Monday, April 09, 2007, at his residence.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Evergeen Cemetery in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Bobby Granger of West Orange Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Mr. Snelgrove was born January 1, 1926, in Ft. Towson, OK to Joseph Julian and Thelma Davis Snelgrove.
Mr. Snelgrove was a Boiler Maker for Local 587 and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Snelgrove, his parents, Joseph and Thelma Snelgrove and his son Walter Snelgrove, Jr.
He is survived by his sons, Guy Snelgrove of Orange and Mark
Snelgrove of Houston, four grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, brother W.H. Snelgrove of Ft. Worth, TX. and sister Claudia Barrett of Wichita Falls, TX.
