Wanda Hardee, 83, of Orange, passed away on February 18, 2022, in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 25, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Pastor Tyler Ellison of First Baptist Church in Mauriceville. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Wanda was born in Cumby, Texas, on December 25, 1938, she was the daughter of Reverend Edwin Ryan Hancock and Myrtle Emma Jenkins Hancock Stephenson. She was a valued member of Eastern Star and First Baptist Church in Mauriceville. Wanda was a natural cook, and would make her famous Christmas Candy every year. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was deeply loved and will be missed by everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Edwin Hancock and Myrtle Jenkins Stephenson; husband, Billy J. Hardee, Sr.; her sister, Annie Marie Landry; and her fur babies, Peanut and Tinker Bell.
She is survived by her children, Billy J. Hardee, Jr., Deborah H. Wilbur and husband Michael O., and John Ryan Hardee; grandchildren, Angela J. Beck and husband Jason, and Michael J. Wilbur; great-grandchildren, Josalyn Preston and husband Kendrick, Cristlyn Robin and husband Jordan, Ethan Beck, Mercedez Rivera and husband Ethan, Alaina Harbert and Samantha French; great-great-grandchildren, Katalina Preston and Levi Preston; and her sister, Betty Lincoln and husband Andy.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Beck, Ethan Beck, Michael O. Wilbur, Vance Zumwalt, Ethan Rivera, and Jim Zumwalt.
