Warren J. Stine

Warren J. "Dub" Stine, 69, of Orange, passed away, Tuesday, March 17, 2008, at Medical Center in Port Arthur.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Mickey McNamara of Ninth and Elm Church of Christ and Dwayne Davis of Silver Oaks Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Sulphur, LA.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dub was born August 27, 1938, in Sulphur, LA, to Richard Jasper and Dora Vincent Stine.
A native of Vinton, LA, he graduated from Vinton High School in 1957. He worked at Orange Rice Mill and farmed and ranched in Texarkana, Arkansas for years.
Dub was formerly employed by Choupique Enterprises in Cattle Operations. He was a member and former president of Orange CountySheriff Posse and Quarter Horse Association.
He loved spending time with his family, especially
fishing with his grandchildren.
Dub was preceded in death by his brothers, Oscar Stine and Louis Dean and sister Roberta Jacks.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Stine, children, Sherrell Stine of Hot Springs, AR, Warren Stine and wife Annie of Hot Springs, Elizabeth Stine Gillen and husband James of Bridge City, Jason Bryan and wife Crystal of Houston and Jennifer Russell and husband James of Orange; thirteen grandchildren; sisters, Helen Jordan, Evelyn Allen, Martha Myers, Minnie Jaynes and Rita Carlquest, brothers, Richard Stine and Henry Stine.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Furlough, John Furlough, Chipper Nance, Dale Bonin, Ronnie Bishop, Ernest Jacks, Buryl Baty and Beaux Bishop.
Honorary pallbearers will be close friends, J.R. Burns, Jerry Tarter, Jim Matthews and Bill Bellard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
