Warrene Thomas Parnell, 77, of Houston, died March 10, 2009 peacefully in her home.
Funeral services will be at 1:00, Friday, March 13, 2009 at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend William Emory Glover of Pines Presbyterian Church of Houston. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Warrene was born on October 3, 1931, in Beaumont, Texas. She was the daughter of Forrest and Annie Boothe Thomas. She was a Registered Nurse at Dupont for 30 years where she retired. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridge City and of the Hotel Dieu Alumni Nurse Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Annie Thomas, her husband, Robert E. "Gene" Parnell of 48 years, brother James Thomas and sister Jeanette Pledger.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald Parnell of Houston; brother, Earl Thomas; and sister, Emma Sue Parker.
