Wattie Bickham
Wattie Bickham, a pillar of faith and strength in this world, is with his family in heaven today. He met the Lord on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 90 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Deweyville in Deweyville. Officiating will be Reverend Damon Bickham. Burial will follow at Deweyville Cemetery.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Deweyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willa Lee Glawson and John Calvin Bickham; his siblings, Beamon Bickham, Horace Bickham, Riley Bickham, LeRoy Bickham, Mallie Bickham, Calvin “Red” Bickham, and Johnnie Lee Smith; and 1 great granddaughter, Lakyn Rae McKinney.
He is survived by his children: Kelly Bickham and his wife Robin, Cade Bickham, Laura Toney and her husband John, and Todd Bickham and his wife Melissa. In addition to his loving children, he leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was so much more than a dad, “Paw”, uncle, and friend, he was a vibrant soul, who loved and lived to the fullest.
As a dad and “Paw”, he always made time for his family. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved sharing his passion for camping and watersports with his kids and grandkids.
As a man of God, he was confident of his reservation in Heaven, and he always wanted to make sure his family would be there with him.
