Wayne Curt Breaux, 63, of Sour Lake died, Friday, January 30, 2015 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Humble, Texas. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in the Breaux Family Cemetery in Sour Lake, Texas with Chaplain David Cross, officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Born in Spokane, WA on Dec. 13, 1951, Wayne was the son of Merlin and Margie Breaux. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served stateside for his full tour of duty. After serving in the Marines, he worked at Coastal Plain’s Lumber for close to 30 years. Wayne also worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for the Jefferson County Counsel on Alcohol and Drug Abuse for 4 years.
Wayne liked to BBQ and cook. He loved being around people and telling stories. Most of all, he loved his family dearly.
To those who met Wayne at the pearly gates Friday afternoon were his father, Merlin; mother, Margie; brother, James; and brother-in-law, James Duffy.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Fay, of 36 years; daughter, Shelly; sons, Wayne and Joshua; and 7 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Charlotte Brown, brother, Richard Breaux and sister, Camille Hasbrouck, all of Sour Lake.
