Wayne J. Durio
Wayne J. Durio, 95, of Orange, passed away on January 7, 2017, in Orange.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Deacon Hazen Kenny of St. Therese Catholic Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Monday, January 9, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Avoyelles Parrish, Louisiana, on January 28, 1921, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Bernard. Wayne was a long time member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She loved to knit and crochet, quilt, read, and work in her yard. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maxie J. Durio, Sr.; grandson, Alton Paul Durio; and all of her siblings.
She is survived by her children, Arthur Lee Durio and wife, Angie, of Houma, LA, Carroll W. Durio and wife, May, of Orange, TX, Max “Junior” Durio and wife, Pat, of Orange, TX, Darrell Joseph Durio of Bastrop, TX, Russell Paul Durio and wife, Cindy, of Vidor, TX, and Sue E. Skinner and husband, Steve, of Bridge City, TX; grandchildren, Rodney Durio, Ronnie Durio, Tanya Nuss, Kimberly Slocum, Jason Durio, Michael Price, Timmy Price, Michael Durio, Matthew Lawson, and Brittni Weeks; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and Jean Abshire and Ina Hanson who were like daughters to Wayne.
