Wilda Dennison Briggs

Wilda Dennison Briggs, life long resident of Nome, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at the age of 88.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Oscar and Birdie Dennison, and her husband of 55 years, James David Briggs. She is survived by two sons, David Briggs of Benton City, WA and Pill Briggs of Nome, Texas; one daughter Jayne Isaacks of Kemah, Texas, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and companion, Roland Cooley of Anahuac, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12 at 3:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Music Department of First Baptist Church Nome, PO Box 295, Nome, TX 77629.
