Wilferd “Unlce B” Bergeaux, 92, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 21, 2018, at Pinehurst Nursing Home in Orange.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Bobby Granger. Reading the obituary will be Sarge Cotton. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Born in Jennings, Louisiana, on September 10, 1925, he was the son of Willis Bergeaux and Felicia Marie Comeaux. Wilferd was a member of West Orange Christian Church. He was employed by West Orange CISD for 30 years. He loved his job and met many people while he was there. Wilferd enjoyed watching football and was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He liked puzzles and playing cards, especially canasta. Wilferd will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Felicia Bergeaux; and his siblings, Maften Bergeaux, Sr., Roy Bergeaux, Ivan Bergeaux, Eula Mae Lavergne, Dorothy Jeanise, Elray Bergeuax.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nora Atless (Kirby) Bergeaux of Orange, Texas; his son, Ray Allen Bergeaux of West Orange, Texas; and his sister, Jean Barnhart of Beaumont, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth LaVergne, Wayne LaVergne, K.C. Kitchen, Fred Ashworth, Ricky Honeycutt, and Larry Williams.
