William C. McClelland Yankee Max, 88, was born May 29, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA to William H. and Lucille Bourgoyne McClelland and passed away November 29, 2012 in Pt. Arthur, TX. The family will have their own private services.
Mr. McClelland was training as a pilot on P-47 airplanes during World War II, serving in Germany. He went to work at Gulf Oil Company after the war and transferred to the Pt. Arthur area in 1952, retiring as a boilermaker after 38 years. He was a member of the Nederland Masonic Lodge #1368.
He is survived by his son, William Richard McClelland and wife, Frances of Pt. Neches; daughter, Pamela Lou of Nederland and grandchildren, Corey, Amber and Scott. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, June Rosemary McClelland and his parents.
