William Elmer Hipsley, 60, of Orange, died Thursday, October 4, 2007, at Christus St. Elizabeth?s Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Followed by burial at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hipsley was born July 28, 1947, in Orange, the son of Melvin A. and Eloise Fite Hipsley.
Mr. Hipsley served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and worked as a prison guard at the Wynn Unit in Huntsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Eloise Hipsley and brother, Terry Hipsley.
He is survived by his brother, Jerry Hipsley ?Peanut? of Orange, sisters in law, Paula Hipsley of Lumberton and Lisa Hipsley;
nieces and nephews, Jeremy Hipsley, Magen Hipsley, Justin Hipsley and Keisha Hipsley.
