William Henry Smith, Jr., 83, of LaPorte died, Thursday, July 26, 2007, in Pasadena, TX.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith was born October 1, 1923, in Limona, FL to William Henry Smith, Sr. and Bertha Hunter Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife Fannie Mae Smith and son Terry Lynn Smith.
He is survived by his daughter, Dorothy Calvert and husband Lynn of LaPorte, son Gerald Smith of Pasadena, daughter in law, Janita Smith of Yukon, OK, daughter Barbara Smith of Lake Charles, LA. Also surviving him are eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lynn Calvert, Harold Calvert, Rex Griffin, Ronnie Foster and Mike Morgan.
