William L. Turk
William L. Turk, 77, of Orange, died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Longview Drive Baptist Church in Henderson. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. before the funeral. Officiating will be Reverend Bruce Bailey. Burial will follow at Neely Cemetery in Henderson.
William was born on November 11, 1930, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the son of Fordie and Essie Mareson Turk. He was a member of the Baptist church for many years. He served in the United States Army as a Military Police officer, and was an electrician for IBEW for 41 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Turk.
Those left to cherish his memory are his friends, Dave and Jody McClenan; daughter, Cathy M. Turk of Miami, Florida; son, Michael O. Turk of Miami, Florida; daughter, Julia E. DuPont of Greenville, South Carolina; daughter, Laura J. Turk of Miami, Florida; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
