William E. Pearson
William E. Pearson, 78, a former resident of Bridge City, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, at Evergreen Hospice Center in Kirkland, Washington.

A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service. Officiating will be Reverend David Millner, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange. Burial of cremated remains, with full Military Honors provided by the Honor Guard from Ft. Polk, will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

William was born in Paducah, Kentucky on January 23, 1935. He was a retired Staff Sargent for the U.S. Army and has lived in Auburn, Washington for the past three years. William loved being outdoors, especially enjoyed gardening. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a former member of the U.S. Army Color Guard.

He was preceded in death by his sons, William E. Pearson, Jr. and Robert E. Pearson. William is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl and Enand Young of Orange, Nanci Van Tighem of Washington, Linda Gooch, and Faith Ann Sutton; son, William Brock; twenty grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Patricia DeRosier.
