William E. Pearson
William E. Pearson, 78, a former resident of Bridge City, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, at Evergreen Hospice Center in Kirkland, Washington.
A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service. Officiating will be Reverend David Millner, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange. Burial of cremated remains, with full Military Honors provided by the Honor Guard from Ft. Polk, will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
William was born in Paducah, Kentucky on January 23, 1935. He was a retired Staff Sargent for the U.S. Army and has lived in Auburn, Washington for the past three years. William loved being outdoors, especially enjoyed gardening. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a former member of the U.S. Army Color Guard.
He was preceded in death by his sons, William E. Pearson, Jr. and Robert E. Pearson. William is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl and Enand Young of Orange, Nanci Van Tighem of Washington, Linda Gooch, and Faith Ann Sutton; son, William Brock; twenty grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Patricia DeRosier.

G-pa....I miss you and only wish I would've spent more time with you. When ever I get sad, I just remember that you, Bobby and Billy are raisin' all sorts of ruckus up there and that makes me smile. Watch over mom, she is going to struggle but know that we are here for her to help her through. I am just so very thankful that you are no longer in pain. We will see you again. Oh, can you throw the ball for Tavlyn and Treylor? They sure love a good game of fetch! Love you lots! Michelle and family.

Gpa-hey there my man..make sure you keep an eye on heaven, I got you covered down here. Keep an eye on the boys..I can only imagine what is going on up there! I am so thankful you aren't in pain anymore, but know you will never be forgotten and will be truly missed !! I wish I could have made it to see you before you went, but I know you tried to hold on. Hi G-cha! Mommy says you are up in the air flying with the airplanes, so when I see one I say " there's G-cha, airplane " :) I'm sure you are busy up there watching over us. Mom and I are doing good but we sure do miss you a lot! I used your tools yesterday like you showed me and helped nana with yard work ( Don't worry, ill take care of the garden for you. After all, I was like your little shadow, following your every move so you can rest now and I can take it from here ;)) Well mommy says I have to go to bed now, (can you hear me fighting to stay up?! ha) I love you G-cha and will look for you again in the sky.
