William George Pitcher, 91, of Orange, passed away on November 2, 2020, in Orange.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Troy, New York, on May 29, 1929, he was the son of William Raymond Pitcher and Olive Pansey Morris. William loved fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle- riding it all the way to New York to visit his parents. He enjoyed practical jokes, spending time at his camp on Sam Rayburn Lake, going to the VFW, dancing with his wife, and going to the casino. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise Peveto Pitcher; son, Ronald R. Pitcher; brother, Robert Pitcher; and parents William Pitcher and Olive Morris.
He is survived by his children, Billy Pitcher and companion Susanna of San Augustine, Jean Mason and husband Ronnie of Orange, and Anita Swanton and husband Alan of Bronson; daughter-in-law, Melissa Pitcher of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Troy Pitcher, Adam Pitcher, Ethan Pitcher and wife Charlsie, Jennifer Pitcher, and Julie DeMary and husband Michael; great-grandchildren, Kaiden Pitcher, Emma Pitcher, Aslyn Pitcher, Hannah Ford, and Eliza DeMary; sister, Susan Ring of Salt Lake City, Utah; and loving caregiver, Esther Thibeaux.

Mr. Pitcher was always so easy to talk to and had such a great smile. I had forgotten until I read about him enjoying dancing, but I saw him and Mrs. Pitcher cut a rug a time or two! They’re dancing together in heaven now. Praying for you Jean and all the family.
