William Franklin Yelverton, 77, of Orange, passed away on October 6, 2018, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at First Pentecostal Church in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Gary Wheeler. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in Orange, Texas.
Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at First Pentecostal Church.
Born in Oak Grove, Louisiana, on June 1, 1941, he was the son of H.B. Yelverton and Julia (Cummins) Yelverton. Will bravely served his country in the United States Navy. He was a longtime member of First Pentecostal Church in Orange, Texas. Will enjoyed everything about cars, especially driving them fast. He was a loving husband, father, and brother, always making those around him laugh, and never meeting a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, H.B. and Julia Yelverton; step-mother, Lila Yelverton; sisters, Eloise Socia, Louise Hammett, Jackie Bates, and Billie Malley; and brothers, Burnice Yelverton, J.B. Yelverton, and Toxie Yelverton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Becky Yelverton; daughter, Melissa Yelverton; sisters, Glenda Ricks and husband Marvin and Grace Socia; and sister-in-law, Suzanne Thomas and husband Glynn; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Phillip Williams, Larry Hammett, Larry Mayfield, Kendall Pierce, Glynn Thomas, and Ed Reed. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Meshell and Gordon Anthony.
