Willie Jo Amen, 91, of Bridge City, passed away on January 23, 2015 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Mr. Barry Jones of 9th and Elm Church of Christ in Orange. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. There will be no visitation.

Born in Cleburne, Texas on September 16, 1923, she was the daughter of Willie Ray Crawford and Rose Ella Dickerson Ray. Mrs. Amen was a member of 9th and Elm Church of Christ. The family would like to acknowledge, with grateful appreciation the love and care provided to Mrs. Amen by the staff of Oakwood Manor Nursing Home.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Arthur Amen and daughter, Sharon Ray.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheala Vice; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Joel Fowler all of Bridge City; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and brother, Bud Ray of Pearsal, Texas.
