Willie R. ?Peg? Lavoilette, 78, of Orangefield passed away at his home with his loving family around him Friday, April 6, 2007.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday April 10, 2007 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be A.W. Story of Family Worship Center in Orange. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lavoilette was born January 15, 1929 in Orangefield to Lanis and Leoma Higgenbotham Lavoilette. He served in the U.S. Army and later worked as a steel worker for American Bridge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lanis and Leoma Lavoilette and is survived by his wife, Bobbie R. Lavoilette; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and James D. Brumley and stepsons, Donnie Smith of Vidor, Ronnie Smith of Mauriceville, Gary Smith and Mark Smith both of Orangefield. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Carl Rogers of Houston and sister, Verdi Rogers of Bridge City.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Compton, James R. Brumley, James D. Brumley, Gregory DeJay, Mike Lund and Kerstan Moran.
