Windol Eston Phelps

Windol Eston Phelps, 78, passed away December 13, 2015 at Harbor Hospice. Mr. Phelps was a longtime resident of Sour Lake, Texas. He was born February 28, 1937 in San Augustine County, Texas to Aaron Eston and Minnie May (Miller) Phelps.
Mr. Phelps retired from Texaco where we worked for many years. He worked in many departments and at his retirement was a Central Control Operator.
As a veteran of the United States Air Force Mr. Phelps spoke with pride of his service.
Mr. Phelps was preceded in death by his wife, Flay Irene Marble Phelps. He is survived by his son, Michael Eston Phelps and his wife, Carol, of Groves, Texas; daughter Windi Anne Fourdraine and her husband, Robert, of Oregon, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Amanda Quinn and her husband, Thomas, Logan Hendon, Mason Hendon, Jason Fourdraine and Nathalie Fourdraine; great-grand-daughter Harlie Quinn; sister Betty Jean Martin and her husband, Robert, of Orangefield, Texas and brothers, Thomas Phelps of Vidor, Texas and Cleburne Phelps and his wife, Billye, of Jasper, Texas.
A service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Sour Lake, Texas with burial to follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery. There will be a gathering of family and friend Friday, December 18, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home Beaumont.
