A Life Remembered
Obituary
Winifred "Winnie" Broussard, a warm and loving soul, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, in Port Arthur, TX. She was born on November 13, 1940, in New Iberia, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City with a Rosary at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service in Winnie's honor will follow the Rosary.
Winnie was renowned for her fantastic cooking and baking, a talent she shared generously with all who knew her. Her home was always immaculate, a testament to her meticulous nature. A devoted member of St. Henry Catholic Church, Winnie was known for her willingness to do anything for anyone. She found great joy tending to her beautiful flower beds. She was affectionately known as "Maw Maw" to many, a title that truly reflected her nurturing spirit. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she loved them dearly. Winnie was also an honorary PTA member for Bridge City Schools. Though she stood only 5'2" tall, her presence felt much grander, often described as feeling 7' tall, especially when she was lovingly bossing everyone around and telling them what to do.
Winnie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Ronald Broussard; her children, Nancy Broussard Wood and husband, Tommy, Robert Broussard and wife, Cheryl, and Julie Bock and husband, Bryan. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Katelyn Broussard and fiancé, Jonathan, Nicholas Wood, Bryce Sampere and wife, Brooklyn, Lindsey Campbell, Ashlynn Bock, Kylie Bock, and Karsen Bock; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Broussard, Gunner Campbell, Parker Davis, and Landry Davis. She is also survived by her siblings, Donald LeBlanc, and Debbie Everett and husband, Michael; and numerous other loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oralie and Anita LeBlanc; her siblings, Joseph Ravis LeBlanc, Mary Ann Lucas, and Larry James LeBlanc; and her grandchild, Breanna Faye Broussard.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
