Woodrow Gerald "Jerry" Foote

Woodrow Gerald “Jerry” Foote, 81, of College Station, Texas, went to heaven to be with Jesus on October 7, 2025, at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in Conroe, Texas, after a lengthy illness.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange, Texas. Visitation will held from 10:30 am until 11:30 am at the location of the graveside service.

Born in Angelo Township, Monroe County, Wisconsin, on March 17, 1944, he was the son of Woodrow Henry Foote and Nona Irene Talbert Foote. Woodrow grew up in DeRidder, Louisiana, graduating from DeRidder High School in 1963. After serving three years in the U S Army in the Signal Corps with two of those years being spent in Germany, he returned to DeRidder, Louisiana, and began his career at Boise Cascade Paper Mill. After working 39 years for the Boise Paper Mill, he retired in 2009. After retirement he enjoyed fishing at his camp at Toledo Bend. In 2018 he and wife Brenda moved to College Station, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, step-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.

He is preceded in death by his parents Woodrow H. and Nona Foote, and his younger brothers, Robert Henry Foote and Tommy Joe Foote.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Brenda McClelland Foote, of College Station, Texas, his son Rick Foote and wife Liz of DeRidder, Louisiana, daughter Tammy Foote Cochran and husband Shane, of DeRidder, Louisiana, and son Bryan Foote. He is survived by his six grandchildren Heather, Beau, Jordan, Gabriel, Megan, and Brandon, five great-grandchildren, and his sisters-in-law Kathy Foote and Martha Foote. He is also survived by his stepsons Todd W. Scott and wife Karen of Belton, Texas, and Casey W. Scott and wife Lydia of College Station, Texas, and 5 step-grandchildren Brady Scott, Chance Scott, Abigail Scott, Ensley Scott, and Brewer Scott.
