Xavier Charles Nelson

Xavier Charles Nelson, 7 weeks, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on April 26, 2024, in Houston.

The family will hold a memorial on May 18th, 2024, at Commonground Church in Bridge City at 4pm.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on March 7, 2024, he was the son of Dondie Nelson and O’Ryann Taylor. He was cherished and awaited with immense love and joy by his family.

Our little
Simba, had the strength of a lion, and fought so hard, for so long. Although short, X-man captured the hearts of those all around his entire life with his chubby cheeks, big brown eyes, button nose and little chin dimple. He was perfect; IS perfect. Chunky Man had a special bond with his Pa, anytime Pa started talking, Xavier would come to attention to stare into his eyes. From the very beginning he stole his mommas heart, all the way. Xavier Charles Nelson, our X-man, is so loved and admired for his fight to be here and his will power. All the way around he was such a fighter.

While Xavier’s life was devastatingly brief, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him so dearly.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Oscar Taylor Jr.; his great-grandfathers, Chuck Thompson, and Robert Nelson; his aunt, Levea Alvarez; and his great-aunt, Lisa Nelson.

He is survived by his parents, O’Ryann Taylor and Dondie Nelson; his grandparents, Cari and Clifton Nall, Kristy Kroh, and Tyler Nelson; his great-grandparents, Paul and Charee Nall, Jackie and John Johnson, Rhonda Thompson, Tammy O’Dell & fiancé, Gary Brown, Kaye and Ken Tweeten, and Lonney and Johnna O’Dell; his aunts and uncles, Danesah Kroh, Tre’Sha Bonton, Daniel Nall, Dixon Nall, Deringer Nall, and Rachel Nall; and numerous other family members will carry him in their hearts always.

A special thanks to the nurses and Dr's at St Elizabeth NICU and Memorial Hermann Children's.
