Billie Glover, 82, of Orange, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011, in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with the Reverend Kevin Trinkle, chaplain at Baptist Hospital in Orange, officiating. A private burial will follow.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Mr. Glover was born on April 8, 1928, in McCamey, Texas, the son of Sam and Irene Cobb Glover. He was a resident of Orange since 1941, and worked for 30 years with Iron Worker's Local 125 in Nederland. He was a member of McDonald Memorial Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Leach Glover, Mr. Glover is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and A-Lee Prudhomme of Houston; granddaughter, Stacey Ripple and her husband, Robert, of Richmond; and great granddaughters, Allyson and Melissa Ripple, also of Richmond.
