Funeral services for Bobby Lee Comer, 86, of Beaumont, will be held Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel with Dr. Ralph Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 24th from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Comer was born August 12, 1928 in Maud, Oklahoma to the late Richard and Nola (Hawkins) Comer and passed away September 22, 2014 at his residence in Beaumont. He was a retired Supervisor with Independent Refining in Winnie, a member of Amelia Baptist Church and served in the 412th Engineering Construction Battalion of the US Army during the Korean War.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Joe Ann Comer of Beaumont; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Kevin Sory of China, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Shari Comer of LaBelle, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Lloyd Raimer of Oklahoma; brother, Leslie Comer of Mississippi; eight grandchildren, John Comer and wife, Brenda, James Comer and wife, Amy, Christie Comer, Lisa Coon and husband, Brent, Angela Lasseigne and husband, Clayton, Justin Sory, McKenzie Knox and husband, Doug, and Rhett Williamson.
He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Erin Jeffcoat, Peter Dahn, Hayden Comer, Kyler Fore, Claire Comer, Aaron Comer, Tucker Knox, Roman Coon and numerous nieces and nephews.
