Charlie Maxine Fields, 94, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on April 13, 2019, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Born in Kenton, Tennessee, on August 1, 1924, she was the daughter of Charles Edwards and Nitia (McAfee) Edwards. Charlie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Newton Fields, Sr.; and her parents, Charles and Nitia Edwards.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Newton Fields, Jr. and wife Deborah of St. Louis, Missouri, Nitia Schroeder and husband Charles of Woodland Park, Colorado, and Richard E. Fields and wife Rita of Nederland, Texas; her grandchildren, Emily Pouk, Neil Schroeder, Joni Fraser, and Richard G. Fields; and her great-grandchildren, Adam Pouk and Rebecca Pouk.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held for Charlie in her hometown of Kenton, TN on a future date, TBD.
