CJ Delome, 72, of Orangefield, died Friday, March 11, 2011, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011, at First Christian Church in Orangefield. Officiating will be Bro. Jim Hardwick. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Crowley, Louisiana on July 29, 1938, CJ was the son of Julius and Olivia Kibodeaux Delome. He was a welder/fitter and had worked at Burton Shipyard in Bridge City. He served in the US Army and was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Orangefield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Olivia Delome; four brothers, and one sister.
CJ is survived by his wife, Tracy LeBlanc Delome of Orangefield; daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and Alvin Meshell of Starks, LA, Kathy and LeRoy Adaway of Zavalla; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Brandi Clark of Bridge City; grandchildren, Staci Orta, Greg Orta, and Lynette Bailey; and great-grandchildren, William Bryant, Jr, Regina Bryant, Casey Thibodeaux, Dakota Bailey, Karlee Clark, Carson Clark, and Jade Orta.
He is also survived by his brothers, Jimmy Delome, Leon Delome, and Herbert Delome, all of Orangefield; and sister, Audrey Bertrand, also of Orangefield.
Serving as Pallbearers will be John Epperly, Clem Tillman, R.C. Russell, Alex Orta, LeeRoy White, and Glen Childers.
