Darryl Richard Levingston, of Kountze, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 10, 2008.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2008 at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend W.W. Smith of Pinehurst Pentecostal Church.
Darryl was born August 20, 1951, in Orange, Texas. He was the son of Melvin and Jean Perkins Levingston. He graduated from Stark High School in 1968 where he was very involved in the FFA. From there he attended Lamar University and received his BS in Psychology and an Associates Degree in Computer Science. Having a passion for computers he worked for IBM in customer service. He enjoyed repairing them as well. His true passion however was raising his prized Dachsund showdogs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Levingston.
He is survived by his mother, Jean Levingston; brother, Dudley Levingston and wife Linda, nephews, Christopher Levingston and David Levingston all of Orange; aunt, Hester Perkins and family; cousins, Leslyee Gautreaux, Michelle Belcher, Brad Prejean and their families, Jerry Barron and husband George and Gay Cormier and husband Joey.
