David Henry Starnes

David Henry Starnes, 84, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on August 23, 2019.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, he was the son of Ray and Minnie (Henry) Anderson. David was an employee of Goodyear for 33 years. He played football while attending Lutcher Stark High School and in college. In his free time he loved working in his yard and had a real “green thumb” but he is most remembered as a loving husband and father.

David is survived by his wife of 32 years, Fran Starnes; children, Lisa Jackson and husband Joe Wayne, Tammy Louise Killebrew and Brandon Paul Johnston; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Juanita Starnes, sister, Betty Groom, sister-in-law, Pam Cline; nieces and nephew, Darrell Starnes and his wife, Alicia, Debbie Shope and her husband, Tom, and Kristal Neubauer and her husband, Kent; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and the cat he loved, Sheba Lyn.

David was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Shanna Lynn Abshire.

Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
