Debra Huffman, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, in Beaumont, TX. She was born on April 12, 1954, in Port Arthur, Texas. She was cherished by all who knew her, known for her warm and engaging personality.
Debra dedicated many years to serving her community, working tirelessly through HUD and the Neighborhood Development Corp. She was a woman who loved hard and worked hard, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered. A wonderful mother and wife, Debra's creativity shone brightly in her kitchen; she loved to cook and could transform anything into a delicious meal. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time at the lake with her family and indulging in her passion for fishing. Debra is survived by her loving husband of almost 52 years, Jack Huffman, Jr.; her son, Trey Huffman, and his wife, Rachel; her cherished grandchildren, Ryder Huffman and Carter Foreman; her brothers, Kelvin Bourque and Michael Bourque; and her beloved fur baby, Oliver. She also leaves behind numerous other loving family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Hazel Bourque; her sister and best friend, Silvia Benoit; her brother, Donald Bourque; and her fur baby, Alexander.
A gathering of friends will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with a special sharing of memories beginning at 6:30 PM.
