Dorothy Jean Jannise

Dorothy Jean Jannise, 87, of Lumberton, died Saturday, October 9, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Leatherwood Cemetery in Lumberton.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Loeb on October 7, 1934, she was the daughter of Marvin Smith and Mildred (Tanner) Smith. She was a barber and enjoyed raising and caring for horses, cows and dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Ray Hampshire, Kerry Hampshire, Randy Helton, Cody Helton and her brother, Ronald Wayne Beauchamp.

She is survived by her husband, Shelton Jannise; step children, David Jannise and his wife, Lelia, Rachel Maricle and her husband, Dwayne, Anthony Jannise and his wife Barbara; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
