Ferrel Wayne Massey, 73, of Beaumont passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel with Reverend Mel Rowell officiating. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Massey was born May 30, 1936 in Fleetwood, OK to Kelsie Clifford and Mary Mable Wolfenbarger Massey. He served in the Navy reserve and was a very talented singer and musician, who made 2 records, one being a country and western and the other a gospel record. He was also a music minister for ten years.
Ferrel loved God and spent 42 years serving Him as a minister at 11 different churches. He led several different mission trips and won many people to the Lord through his work.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rita Eberle and is survived by his wife, Gwen Massey of Beaumont; daughters, Teressa Acord of Beaumont and Sherri Smith of China; grandchildren, Joel Smith, Morgan Brandi Smith, Christina Butts and Brian Acord and great grandchildren, Morgan Bailey Johnson and Ryan Zachry Acord. He is also survived by many family and friends who love him dearly.
