Herman "Poppa T" Leslie Thompson

Herman Thompson, 55, of Beaumont made his exodus on Monday, July 1st, 2013. Herman was born January 8, 1958 in Crockett, TX to Elmer and Ernestine Thompson. He attended Hebert High School and joined the US Army in 1977. He worked for Southwestern Bell and Beaumont Fire Department. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
Left to grieve his absence are three brothers, Lawrence, Jr. and David Munson of Beaumont and Elmer Thompson Jr. of Orange and one sister, Pat Thompson of Houston; two sons, Damitrius Macklin of Houston and Damian Thompson of California; an uncle, Harvey Johnson (Linda) and an aunt, Mable Thompson of Hawthorne, CA; one granddaughter, Dameesha Macklin of Orange and a devoted and loyal friend, Julia. He is preceded in death by his Dad, Mom, sister and step-dad.
His home going will be Wednesday, July 10 at 10:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Beaumont. Burial will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 11 at Houston National Cemetery.
