Ila June Watson

Ila June Watson, 92, peacefully passed away on February 10, 2018 in Georgetown, Texas, with her three sons at her side. Born in Alma, Oklahoma, to Sadie and Ernest Martin Wesner on March 13, 1925, Ila June Wesner Seely moved to Beaumont, Texas in the 1940’s. Ila met and married John Allison Watson in the late 1940s and they raised four sons: Jack Seely, John A. Watson II, Joel Watson, and Jeffrey Watson. Ila June is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, one son, Joel, and her sister, Billie Hubbard. She is survived by sons Jack Seely of Austin, John Watson II of Georgetown, Jeffrey Watson and wife Jeanie of Palestine, her brother, Ernest Wesner of Hemphill, grandchildren Jack Seely Jr., Dawn Seely Beltz and husband John, and Joel Forrest Watson and wife Emily, and great-grandchildren Cheyenne Seely, Chase Beltz and Lilly Watson, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church, and she valued her Lord, her family, and her friends greatly. She will be missed but not forgotten.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Claybar Kelly-Watkins Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm-2:00pm, on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Claybar Kelly-Watkins Funeral Home.
