Mr. James Aaron Baisdon, 89, of Beaumont, TX passed away at his home February 20, 2017. A service celebrating his life will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home Beaumont with burial to follow in Clines Prairie Cemetery in Huntsville, TX at 4 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday evening from 5 – 8 p.m. also at the funeral home.
Mr. Baisdon was born August 5, 1927 in Huntsville, TX to George and Willie (High) Baisdon. He served in the US Army from 1954-1956 as a cook, a skill his family and friends really enjoyed. He was well known for his cinnamon rolls and lemon pies. He was self-employed for nearly 40 years, owning a Mobil service station.
He enjoyed his work and loved his family, and most of the family worked for him at one time or another. He was a kind and giving man, always doing anything he could to help others.
Surviving Mr. Baisdon are his sons, Larry Baisdon and his wife Kathy, Randy Baisdon and his wife Sabrina; grandchildren, Travis Baisdon and his wife Kristie, Hannah and Sarah Baisdon; great-grandson, Rhett Baisdon; sister, Julia Bennett; brother, Benjamin Baisdon and his wife Laura, his sisters-in-law Alyce Poe and Olavee Proellochs, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Miladean Nolen Baisdon.
