James Tenant Swymer

James Tenant Swymer, 83, of Orange, died at his home on Wednesday, February 9, 2011.
Mr. Swymer was born in Adel, Georgia on January 8, 1928, the son of Della Jones and Robert Swymer.
He was a veteran of both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force, having served from 1949 to1951 and again from 1953 to 1955. He retired from Owens-Illinois in Orange where he was a maintenance mechanic.
Mr. Swymer was preceded in death by his wife, Wannie Swymer and close family friends, Eddie and Jeanette Cunningham. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Joe Meyer of Orange; grandchildren, Jimmy Meyer and his wife, Shannon, Misty Hague and her husband, Chad; and great grandchildren, Justyn Harrison, Trystin Hague, Bailey Meyer, Drake Harrison, Maddie Meyer, Rayce Harrison and Addysen Hague.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory in Bridge City. It was Mr. Swymer?s request that no services be held.
