Margaret Meineke, 88, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 in Beaumont.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Claybar Haven of Rest Cemetery. There will be a gathering of family and friends prior to the service from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Meineke was born August 28, 1921 in Idabel, OK to Cleveland and Mary Craft Stanfield. She later moved to Beaumont with her family, worked at Zaphir's Office Supply for 20 years and retired in 1986.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Radford W. Meineke; 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, R.J. and Peggy Meineke of Lumberton and B.J. and Jo Ann Meineke formerly of Beaumont, now of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Curt and Sirod Meineke, Eric and Kimberly Meineke, Billy R. Meineke and Julie and Ty Thorton and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Robert Belden of Tulsa, OK; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sam and Sadie Meineke of Pasadena and Niece, Betty Dickinson and husband, Doug of Palmer, Lee Ann Gober and husband Tim of Highland, TX and nephew, Jim Johnson and wife, Judy of Norman, OK.
Mrs. Meineke was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
