Martha Parker, 84, of Beaumont, passed away on January 22, 2020.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2020, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. Officiating will be Reverend James Blackwell. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Born in Liberty, Texas, on November 7, 1935, she was the daughter of Theodore Deckert and Annie (Wells) Deckert. Martha enjoyed the outdoors and doing yard work. She was a nurturer by heart, always eager to take care of others, visiting them in the hospital, and taking people meals. Martha was a good cook, and everyone loved her homemade cookies and candy. She had a deep-rooted love for her church, South Park Baptist Church, and all of the friends she made there. Martha will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Herbert K. Parker; sisters, Mary Taylor, Loutine Biggs, and Elizabeth Bowers; and brother, Theodore (Tate) Deckert.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Judy Nugent and husband Clayton, Elbert Fregia, Ann Fregia, James Bowers; great nieces and nephews, Tina Floyd, Beth Parker, Robert Fregia, Marvin Elliott and wife Patricia, Johnny Fregia and wife Micki Jo, Terry Fregia and wife Wendy, Josh Nugent and wife Lacey, Timmy Fregia and wife Marsha, Louis Marcantel and wife Ashanda, Tony Marcantel and wife Christina; along with many other great-great nieces and nephews and other loving family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Nugent, Johnny Fregia, Terry Fregia, Coby Elliott, Sam Elliott, Cutter Nugent, Andrew Fregia, Timmy Fregia, Tony Marcantel and Louis Marcantel. Honorary pallbearers are Marvin Elliott, Tyler Fregia, and Bill Proctor.
