Richard David Coit, Sr., 70, of Orange, Texas died Monday, May 31, 2010, at St. Luke Hospital in Houston.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home in Orange.
Born in West Warwick, Rhode Island on October 10, 1939, Richard was the son of Ernest Coit, Sr. and Jeannette Catalino Coit. Richard retired from Rhode Island State Prison as a Corrections officer.
Preceded in death by his son, Richard Coit, Jr., Richard is survived by his brothers, Ernest Coit, Jr. and wife, Lenore of Rhode Island, George Coit and wife, Pat of Orange; sister, Linda Forcelli and husband, Tony of Rhode Island; and numerous nieces and nephews.
