Robert James “Bobby” Bertrand, 61, of Beaumont, passed away at his residence on August 10, 2015.
Bobby was born October 1, 1953 in Abbeville, Louisiana to Joseph and Olita (Menard) Bertrand and resided most of his life in Beaumont. He was a US Army veteran and a devout Catholic.
During his life, Bobby worked as a musician, a truck driver and a tattoo artist at his own shop. As a talented musician, Bobby played the guitar and other instruments. He loved music – the Blues, Rock and Roll, Zydeco. He also loved his Harley and spending “Cartoon” time with his grandkids.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Olita Bertrand and wife, Barbara Bertrand.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Tonya Roberts and husband, Levi of Lumberton, Tina Bertrand and partner, Denise, of Port Neches, Robert Joseph Bertrand of Huntsville, Sandra Nickson of Cape Coral, Florida; step-children, Barbara Maas and husband, Bradford of Magnolia, Texas, Ralph Robinson, Marie Robinson, Joseph Boudreaux all of Beaumont; 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Dietz and husband, Jerry; brothers, Gary Bertrand, Buddy Bertrand and wife, Barbara.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 2:00 p.m.
