William Nathan Hanson, 96, of Beaumont, passed away on January 11, 2018, at Brookdale in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Beaumont.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
Born in Goose Creek, Texas, on September 12, 1921, He was the son of Luby Harmon Hanson and Ruby Alma (Whittington) Hanson. Nathan served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Nicholas in the pacific theater during WWII. He was a member of the Beaumont Rotary Club and enjoyed working in his yard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luby and Ruby Hanson; his wife, Norma Jane Hanson; his grandson, Daniel Hanson; his brothers, Gerald Hanson, L.H. Hanson and Jackie Hanson; and his sister, Alma Dee Young.
Nathan is survived by his children, Gregory Hanson and wife, Marti of Houston, Charles Hanson and wife, Myra of Beaumont, Stephen Hanson and wife, Dana of Dallas and Cynthia Johnson and husband, Ray of Beaumont; grandchildren, Curtis Hanson, Cameron Hanson, Nicole Hanson, Kayla Hanson, and Scott Bohler; and one great-granddaughter, Brynlee Hanson.
